Wellington representative

Kia ora.   I’m Jordan.   I am delighted to be the Wellington Representative for ANZCAL.  I am looking forward to working with our members to advance the field of professional coaching and to promote the many ways in which we can help people to realise their purpose and their potential.

A Life, Career Coach and NLP Practitioner with a private practice in Lower Hutt, Wellington, I work with individuals, couples, and businesses.

I believe that every individual should have the support and opportunity to celebrate their unique talents. They should be able to have confidence in their pathway forward, live with purpose, and possess the skills and knowledge to build a foundation that enhances their well-being in life, at home, at work, and play.

While my passion for working with people to help them navigate the ups, downs, and sideways challenges of life has always been there, my pathway to professional coaching has been far from conventional.

After completing a Fine Arts degree at the University of Canterbury, where I graduated with honours, I worked in a Private Training Establishment in Lower Hutt for seven years.   In that role, I worked with at-risk youth, solo mothers, and long–term unemployed to help them gain their NCEA levels and move forward in education or employment.

With a change in government and funding regimes, I took the opportunity to build my own business that allowed me to gather all of my passions together and to have the flexibility to do all the things I love doing! And… consequentially, I get to work with amazing people who can, in turn, change the world one ripple at a time.

Experienced and knowledgeable in the mental health sector and a passionate trainer and Adult Education Tutor, I also currently hold a role with St John as the Mental Health First Aid Tutor for the Wellington Region and a trainer for New Zealand Life Coaching School.

I am a serial learner and like pushing myself out of my comfort zone, which resulted in competing in MasterChef NZ Duos with my mother in 2014 (gaining 3rd place in the competition), photographing food and writing food columns for three magazines, and helping create and write online courses for St John. Most recently, I have attended a meditation course and have loved adding that to my daily routine and my coaching practice.

I am a mother to two gorgeous daughters, and I love watching and being part of their personal growth and development.

I truly believe in the magic of the courage to “be” yourself.  Whether that’s being able to be in the present, being in a dream job, being part of an enabling relationship, being a team leader, or a great friend or being at peace in the middle of nowhere.  There is power in being, and let’s celebrate that!

Courage is being yourself, in a world of great change, in a world of challenge, in a world of unknown and known expectations, in a world of opportunity.
