About Sharn Rayner
Being part of ANZCAL is both a privilege and a responsibility, helping shape a coaching profession that is credible, rigorous, and genuinely impactful across Australia and New Zealand. That is what drew me to the leadership team, driven by a belief that the profession deserves clearer standards, deeper practice, and a community that truly invests in each other’s growth.
Partnering with Sam came from that same place. Surprisingly, for some, we had not met in person when we agreed to partner, yet through a series of thoughtful and wide-ranging conversations, there was a clear sense of alignment in our way of thinking about the coaching profession. Sam brings a values-led approach to leadership, with a consistency between what she believes, says, and does that builds genuine trust. That kind of coherence matters, and it was enough for me to confidently step in and commit to building something meaningful together.
With over 30 years of experience across executive coaching, business strategy, and HR leadership, I have seen what drives meaningful transformation and what gets in the way. As an Outthinker Coach, Gravitas Impact Maestro Coach, ICF-trained and an NLP Practitioner, I am committed to holistic coaching, where lasting change comes from working with the whole person, not just the presenting challenge. That philosophy sits at the heart of ANZCAL.
At ANZCAL, my focus is on strengthening the profession, supporting coaches to build credible, impactful practices and contributing to the kind of stewardship our industry needs.
Outside of work, life is a mix of yoga, beach walks in Tairua with Vinnie (my retired guide dog), and adventures with my family.
